Citywide Council for District 75 (CCD75)

Welcome, District 75 Staff and Families!

We hope everyone has had a safe, joyful, and restful summer—and that the start of the school year

has been smooth and positive!

CCD75 is a parent-elected council representing families across all five boroughs, with 9 parent

members, 2 members appointed by the NYC Public Advocate, and a non-voting student

representative. We work to ensure that your voice is heard, transparency is maintained, and

accountability is upheld in all decisions that affect District 75 students.

We advise the Chancellor, the Division of Inclusive and Accessible Learning (DIAL), District 75

leadership, and other citywide departments. We participate in joint public hearings, review

policies, and collaborate with legislators and community partners to create meaningful change.

Throughout the year, we hold monthly public calendar and committee meetings—in person,

virtual, or hybrid—where families, educators, and students can:

• Access guidance, resources, and updates on educational policies
• Share feedback and recommendations with the superintendent
• Participate in discussions about academic and instructional improvements

We also publish an annual report with council and community recommendations and host events in

partnership with schools and advocacy organizations to provide families with tools, supports, and

opportunities to engage.

CCD75 works to hold NYC DOE accountable for student IEPs, 504 accommodations,

transportation, inclusion programs, related services, adaptive living skills, transitional services, and

more. We also advocate for supports in safety, nutrition, mental health, and wellness to strengthen

the wider District 75 community.
