The Office of Transition Services and Postsecondary Planning Initiatives invites students and
families to the District 75 Work-Based Learning Expo. Representatives from multiple District 75
high schools will showcase the work-based learning programming available at their schools
which will include volunteer opportunities, community service, service-learning, school-based
enterprises and internships.
Attendees will:
Learn about how work based learning supports student independence and success in the
areas of education, employment and independent living.
Learn about programs to include but not limited to the District 75 Teacher Aide Training
Program, School Food & Nutition Services Internship Program, Project Search, Summer
Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and Work, Learn & Grow (WLG) Program, Office for
People with Disabilities’ (OPWDD) Employment Training Program (ETP), CVS Retail
Internship, District 75 Hospitality/Culinary Training Program and Lincoln Center
Ambassadors Program.
