D 75 After- School/ Saturday - School Programs

All District 75 schools are funded to support District 75 Academic; Arts & Athletics (Triple "A") After-School/Saturday-School program. This should be a 100% in-person in three, 8 to10 weeks per season for after-school or 4 to 6 Saturdays for Saturday school (Fall, Winter & Spring – Up to 40 hrs. each season) . This format will accommodate as many students as possible in an environment that allows for appropriate staff supervision and student engagement.

 

The program must have a strong academic intervention component with further enhanced by a Physical education (Athletics) component and Arts.

 

Schools are requested to build program designs that will include, but do not need to be limited to, the following content areas:

 

1. Enrichment Activities

2. Leadership Development (Transition/College & Career Readiness)

3. Academic Support

4. Athletics, Physical Education and Healthy Living (Special Olympics)

5. Arts and STEM

6. Family Engagement (Activities related to Parental Involvement and Support)
