District 75 delivers highly specialized, individualized educational programs for students with significant challenges, such as autism, cognitive delays, sensory impairments, and emotional or multiple disabilities, across New York City. These services are offered in diverse settings, co located classrooms, dedicated school buildings, hospitals, agencies, and in home environments, ensuring each student receives the tailored support they need.

District 75 provides a wide spectrum of highly specialized services, including small ratio instructional settings, Speech Language and occupational/physical therapies, travel training, vocational and daily living skills instruction, and related health and behavioral supports, all tailored to meet each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

District 75 provides quality and rigorous individualized educational programs to students with significant challenges and diverse learning styles. The needs of students are met in a variety of settings that nurture independence, ensure dignity and support integration into the community. Students are referred to a specific class ratio by the Committee on Special Education.
Families
Families
District 75’s Family Support and Engagement team collaborates with community-based partners to provide citywide workshops and resources that nurture student growth and empower families. At the local level, our schools host workshops tailored to neighborhood needs, covering practical topics like literacy, behavior support, IEP understanding, and community services, to ensure families receive relevant, accessible support where they live.

Social Studies & Civics

My name is Jamie Stone-Saccenti and I am passionate about inclusive and meaningful learning experiences for every student. My current role as the District 75 Social Studies & Civics Coach allows me the opportunity to guide educators in providing a high-quality, accessible education that builds critical thinking, historical understanding, and civic participation skills. Through collaboration with colleagues across the district, my work centers around interdisciplinary and thematic connections between Social Studies & Civics and ELA, Mathematics, Science, the Arts, and PBIS.

Since 2010, I have taught students from PreK through adulthood in special class, inclusion, and day habilitation settings. In an effort to grow my own expertise and best support students, I maintain certifications in Special Education, Social Studies, English Language Arts, and TESOL. As of Summer 2026, I will have completed a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on multigrade classes.

I believe that learning is most powerful when it is relevant, joyful, and empowering. In addition to my commitment to equitable and engaging pedagogy, I enjoy candid photography, historical and science fiction, and word puzzles.
